Summary

An AccountsReceivable (AR) Clerk plays a crucial role in the financial operations of acompany by managing incoming funds and assuring payments are received within aspecific time frame. This role will also handle any additional responsibilitiesassigned by their supervisors as needed.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

  1. Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices to     customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Payments     Tracking:     Monitor and track payments received from customers.
  3. Customer     Communication: Communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments,     discrepancies, and payment arrangements.
  4. Reconciliation: Excellent analytical skills     with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  5. Credit     Checks: Conduct     credit checks on new customers and establish credit terms.
  6. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of     all transactions related to accounts receivable.

 

General Responsibilities:

  1. Data     Entry:     Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software.
  2. Reporting:     Generate and     analyze financial reports related to AR and AP.
  3. Compliance:     Ensure     compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant     regulations.
  4. Audit     Support: Assist     in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and     information.
  5. Cross-Functional     Collaboration:     Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and procurement, to     resolve issues and improve processes.
  6. Continuous     Improvement:     Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  7. Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership

 

Position Requirements

·        Standard work week: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to5:00pm

·        May need to work weekends if business needsrequire

·        Regular attendance is a necessary and essentialfunction

·        Position requires extended hours when businessneed requires.

 

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

·        Ableto lift up to 20lbs. occasionally

·        Mustbe able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures

·        Positionrequires the ability to stand, squat, & reach

·        Mustbe able to stand and walk continuously through shift

·        Activitieslike typing and using a computer mouse can involve repetitive motions

·        Crouch,kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time

·        Mustbe able to sit at a desk for 8 plus hours per day

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college     education may be preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience as an AR Clerk     or in a related role.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in     handling financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft     Office Suite, Google Workspace).

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management     abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under     pressure.

  • Adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and     changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers     and fax machines.
  • Knowledge of basic office management procedures and     principles.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness when dealing with     confidential information.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Commensurate withexperience, paid weekly. The Company reserves the right to adjust rangesdepending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
