Business Development Manager

Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible foridentifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintainingrelationships with clients, and driving overall company growth. This roleinvolves market analysis, strategic planning, and execution of businessdevelopment initiatives to achieve revenue targets and expand the company'smarket presence.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

1.      Market Research: Conduct market researchto identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape. Analyzedata to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.

2.      Lead Generation: Develop and implementstrategies to generate leads and attract new clients. Utilize various channelssuch as networking, social media, industry events, and partnerships to identifyprospects.

3.      Client Engagement: Build and maintainstrong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand clientneeds and tailor solutions to meet their requirements. Conduct presentations,product demonstrations, and negotiations with clients.

4.      Strategic Planning: Develop and executebusiness development plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives. Collaboratewith cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product development) toalign strategies and drive growth.

5.      Proposal Development: Prepare and presentproposals, business cases, and contracts to potential clients. Ensure proposalsare competitive, compelling, and aligned with client needs.

6.      Performance Tracking: Monitor and reporton the performance of business development initiatives. Track key metrics suchas sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue growth. Identify areas forimprovement and implement corrective actions as needed.

7.      Networking: Attend industry events,conferences, and networking functions to represent the company and buildrelationships. Stay updated with industry trends and developments to identifynew opportunities.

8.      Collaboration: Work closely with thesales team to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and support the salesprocess. Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns andpromotional activities.

9.      Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership

Position Requirements

·        Position requires extended hours, which willvary depending on job and site requirements. Each job will require their ownspecific hours of operation.

·        Willingness to travel as needed to meet clientsand attend industry events.

·        Strong network within the industry isadvantageous.

·        May need to work weekends if business needsrequire

·        Regular attendance is a necessary and essentialfunction

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

·        Able to lift up to 20lbs. regularly

·        Position requires the ability to stand, squat,& reach

·        Must be able to stand and walk continuouslythrough shift

·        Must be able to climb stairs and ladders

·        Ability to exercise precaution in the handlingof tools and equipment

·        May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferousworking conditions

·        Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periodsof time

·        Be subject to motor or machine noise

·        Regular attendance is a necessary and essentialfunction

·        Must be able to traverse in all weather conditionsand work in extreme temperatures

 

Skills and Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in a related field ispreferred.

·        Proven experience in business development,sales, or a related field, typically 5+ years

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Excellent negotiation and presentationabilities.

·        Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to analyze market data and trends.

·        Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft OfficeSuite.

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

·        Understanding of industry trends, marketdynamics, and competitive landscape.

·        Knowledge of target markets and potential clientsegments.

·        In-depth understanding of the company's productsor services.

·        Awareness of how the company's offerings compareto competitors.

·        Proven ability to sell products/services andnegotiate deals.

·        Skilled in closing sales and managing clientrelationships.

·        Ability to build and maintain strongrelationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

·        Skilled in understanding and meeting clientneeds.

 

Compensation& Benefits

Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. The Companyreserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of theselected candidate.
