Summary
The Electrical Technician installs, tests, troubleshoots,maintains, and repairs electrical power distribution equipment and relatedsystems in industrial and commercial environments. This position performspreventive and corrective maintenance, assists with commissioning, and ensuresall work complies with applicable codes, customer specifications, and companysafety standards.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities
· Electrical Installations: Install,maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical equipment from 4160v to 24v,switchgear, transformers, breakers, motor controls, UPS systems, batteries, andassociated equipment.
· Maintenance and Repairs: Performpreventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
· System Upgrades: As technology andelectrical requirements evolve, technicians may be involved in upgradingexisting electrical systems to meet current standards or accommodate newequipment and appliances. Assist with equipment startup, commissioning,acceptance testing, and documentation.
· Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E,NEC, and company safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout. They must adhereto safety guidelines and regulations to prevent electrical hazards and ensurethe well-being of occupants and property.
· Testing and Inspection: Use electricaltest equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, insulation resistancetesters, and other diagnostic instruments.
· Reading Blueprints and Technical Diagrams:Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, wiring schematics,and specifications. Identify electrical faults and recommend correctiveactions.
· Electrical Code Compliance: Knowledge ofelectrical codes and regulations is essential for electricians to ensure thatall installations and repairs meet legal requirements and industry standards. Maintainaccurate service reports, testing records, and inspection documentation.
· Communication: Communicate effectivelywith customers, supervisors, and project teams.
· Time Management: Technicians may work onmultiple projects simultaneously or respond to emergency repair calls. Goodtime management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks and complete projectswithin specified timelines.
· Electrical Troubleshooting: Identifyingand resolving electrical issues require analytical thinking and problem-solvingskills. Technicians must diagnose problems accurately to implement appropriatesolutions.
· Customer Service: In roles involvingresidential or commercial services, electricians interact with customersregularly. Providing good customer service, explaining electrical issues toclients, and addressing their concerns are important aspects of the job.
· All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements
· Ableto lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
· Mustbe able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures
· Willsit in a chair on a computer, at times, for more than 8 hours / day
· Mustbe able to stand and walk continuously through shift
· WearPPE (Personal Protective Equipment), respirator, when required
· Maybe exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions
· Regularattendance is a necessary and essential function
Skills and Qualifications
· Highschool diploma or equivalent.
· 4+ years of industrial orcommercial electrical experience preferred.
· Validdriver's license with acceptable driving record.
· Abilityto pass required background checks and drug screenings.
· NICET,NETA, OSHA 10/30, or state electrical license preferred but not required.

· Knowledgeof electrical systems, power distribution, and troubleshooting.
· Abilityto safely use electrical testing equipment.
· Workingknowledge of NEC and applicable electrical standards.
