Summary
The Foreman will lead and supervise a team of electricians and electrical technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other members of leadership to ensure the successful execution of electrical projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of electricians and electrical technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate electrical work activities with the overall project schedule. Ensure proper sequencing of tasks and timely completion of electrical installations.
- Electrical Installations: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce and promote adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the job site. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and toolbox talks to address potential hazards, promote safe work practices, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, and quality of electrical installations. Identify and address any deficiencies or deviations from project requirements, ensuring adherence to design intent and specifications.
- Resource Management: Coordinate and manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor inventory levels and communicate material requirements to procurement or project management teams.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to team members regarding electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Resolve technical queries and provide solutions to ensure the successful completion of electrical tasks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work progress, material usage, and labor hours. Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other project-related documentation as required. Communicate project status, issues, and delays to the project management team.
- Client Communication: Interface with clients, project managers, and stakeholders regarding project progress, requirements, and issues. Provide updates on electrical work status, address client concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with advancements in electrical technologies, codes, and industry best practices. Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in electrical systems and leadership.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership.
Position Requirements
- Position requires extended hours, which will vary depending on job and site requirements. Each job will require their own specific hours of operation.
- May need to work weekends if business needs require
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Able to lift up to 60lbs. regularly
- Must be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures
- Position requires the ability to stand, squat, & reach
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipment
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions
- Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time
- Be subject to motor or machine noise
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in electrical systems is preferred).
- Relevant certification as an electrician or electrical technician.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
- 2+ years of experience in field construction management
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.

- Understanding of construction practices and safety protocols.

Compensation & Benefits
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. The Company reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
