The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical construction projects from inception to completion. They are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and ensuring the successful execution of electrical systems installation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment of project goals and requirements. Establish effective communication channels to keep all parties informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and control. Track project expenses, monitor financial performance, and take corrective actions as needed to meet budget targets.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, including defining milestones, critical paths, and dependencies. Coordinate with various teams to ensure adherence to schedules and timely completion of project activities.
- Resource Allocation: Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of resources. Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and specifications. Conduct regular inspections, perform quality audits, and address any non-conformities promptly. Monitor and document project progress, ensuring that work meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise project teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and resolve conflicts to maintain a productive and collaborative work environment. Foster teamwork, motivate team members, and promote professional development.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including technical, financial, and safety-related risks. Develop risk management strategies, contingency plans, and procedures to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success. Monitor and report on project risks regularly.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide regular project updates, solicit feedback, and manage client expectations. Handle change requests, contract negotiations, and project closeout activities.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices throughout the project. Promote a culture of safety, conduct regular safety meetings, and implement appropriate safety measures to protect workers, clients, and the public.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, and progress reports. Prepare regular project status reports, including cost, schedule, and performance metrics, and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by leadership
Position Requirements
- Position requires extended hours, which will vary depending on job and site requirements. Each job will require their own specific hours of operation.
- May need to work weekends if business needs require

Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20lbs. regularly
- Must be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures
- Position requires the ability to stand, squat, & reach
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously through shift
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipment
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditions
- Crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to sit at a desk for 8 plus hours per day
- Be subject to motor or machine noise

Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of electrical construction estimating experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- Must be able to pass a Drug Test, Background screen and MVR

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proven experience in managing electrical construction projects.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. The Company reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
